The José L. Piedra Petit Caballeros is a charmingly straightforward smoke built around the earthy, woody character for which the Piedra range is known. Produced with tobacco exclusively from Cuba’s historic Remedios region and crafted using the traditional Totalmente a Mano, Tripa Corta short-filler technique, it delivers a medium-to-full-flavoured experience in a remarkably accessible format.
From the first draw, expect a distinctly rustic Cuban character: cedar, earth and toasted tobacco establish the foundation, followed by touches of coffee, roasted nuts and gentle pepper. As the cigar warms, the coffee character can deepen toward espresso, while wood and earthy notes remain firmly at the core.
The Petit Caballeros doesn't try to overwhelm with elaborate transitions—it wins through honest tobacco flavour, satisfying richness and an unmistakable Cuban edge. Its 120 mm length and 48 ring gauge give it enough presence for a relaxed smoke while remaining compact enough for an afternoon or early-evening session.
There is something wonderfully unpretentious about the experience: dry cedar, warm earth, roasted coffee and peppery spice, wrapped in the unmistakable character of Cuban tobacco. A cigar for those who appreciate authenticity over extravagance—a dependable everyday Cuban with plenty of personality.
