When five self confessed Cigar buffs in Bangalore decided to form a Cigar Club, the news spread like wildfire amongst Cigar lovers across Bangalore, and even patrons from Chennai and Hyderabad have signed up to be a part of this one of a kind club.

The idea stemmed from a trip to Las Vegas say Shreyas, who is the brainchild of the Cigar Club, at the trip to Vegas, “a friend invited me to a Cigar Club and that experience had such a wonderful impact on me that I had to come back and start a Club with my close friends. The Cigar Club that I visited had this sense of passion where Cigar lovers really connected as one, everyone bought in their favourite Cigars and shared them, and discussions about aroma, taste and draw were heard everywhere, and, along with this, you could meet new people, gain great business contacts and sip on some great whisky”.

The Cigar Club in Bangalore is by invitation only, and hence makes it very exclusive; members meet once or twice every week and have to bring their own Cigars, although the Club does bring in some fabulous Cigar from across the world for tasting. There are 100 odd members and the number of people who are waiting be admitted is a long list, and the club expects to add three hundred to four hundred members by the end of the year. Last week was Rocky Patel night, where Cigar lovers Savoured some great Cigars, such as the “Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary, Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 and some other wonderful Cigars.

Well, the Cigar Club of Bangalore is a wonderful concept that the city’s cigar aficionados would love, lets wish them all the best.
